UK visit visa refused: what to do next
A refusal is a verdict on a file, not on you. The officer had to be satisfied of the things paragraph V 4.2 lists, was not satisfied of one of them, and wrote that one down. So the first move after a UK visit visa refusal is never a new application. It is to find the sentence that names the ground, because everything you do next is decided by which of the three families that sentence belongs to.
Visa refusal letter meaning, paragraph by paragraph
The letters repeat themselves, which is what makes them readable. Money letters talk about deposits, the source of funds, and balances that sit oddly against a stated income. Ties letters talk about strong ties, personal and economic circumstances, and whether you will leave the UK at the end of your visit. Credibility letters talk about information that is inconsistent, documents that could not be verified, and things that were not declared. The tool above sorts your paragraph by the wording it carries, then shows the rebuild list our desk uses for that family. It reads the letter. It does not read your case, and it does not score your chances.
When to reapply after UK visa refusal
There is no appeal against an ordinary visit refusal, so the route is a fresh application, with a fresh fee, read beside the file that was refused. That is why reapplying in the same month with the same documents is the most expensive thing a person can do here. Wait until the thing the officer could not see now exists and is documented: six months of statements that show the money living in the account, an employer letter with real leave dates, a document the issuer has confirmed. The timelines differ by family, and the tool prints the one that applies to you.
Nobody sells a result here
No fee changes a decision and no agent has a line into the Home Office. Treat anyone who says otherwise as a warning. What can be changed is the file: the evidence that answers the paragraph you were refused under, put together so the next officer can see it. If you would rather a specialist read the whole letter with you, the Refusal Rescue page sets out what that costs and what it includes.
Rules and fees change. Confirm anything here against the official source above before you act on it. This is general information, not immigration advice.
